Depositing

Depositing converts your underlying asset into vault shares. On T3tris this is a request-based flow: you submit a deposit request now, the curator prices and mints it at the next settlement, then you claim your shares. The deposit panel on the vault page walks you through each step.

Before you start​

  • Make sure your wallet holds enough of the vault's underlying asset and a little native token for gas.
  • Open the vault page and find the Deposit tab in the action panel.
  • Enter an amount. The panel shows your wallet balance and an estimate of the shares you'll receive.

Approvals​

ERC-20 tokens require a one-time approval before the vault can pull them. The first time you deposit a given asset, you may see an approve step in your wallet, followed by the deposit transaction itself. Review the approved amount before confirming. (Some vaults support gas-efficient permit-based approvals, combining the approval into the deposit.)

How depositing works​

Depositing is a three-stage flow across an epoch:

  1. Request. Enter an amount and submit a deposit request. Your assets are escrowed by the vault. The app shows Pending deposit. The estimate is approximate, final price is set at settlement.
  2. Settlement. The curator runs a settlement that prices your request at the vault's then-current price per share and mints your shares. Nothing to do, just wait for the next settlement.
  3. Claim. Once settled, the app shows Ready to claim. Return to the vault and claim shares to receive them in your wallet.

Managing a pending deposit​

Before settlement you're not locked in. From the panel you can:

  • Add more to your pending deposit, or
  • Reduce it (the vault returns the reduced assets to you), or
  • Cancel it entirely.

After settlement, the only remaining action is to claim.

Understanding the estimate​

The shares shown before you confirm are an estimate. Your request settles at the next epoch's price per share, which may differ from the price at request time. The figure stays approximate until settlement.

Common messages​

  • Deposits disabled. The curator has turned deposits off, you can't deposit right now.
  • Address not on the deposit whitelist. This vault restricts who can deposit. See Whitelists.
  • Insufficient balance / allowance. You need more of the asset, or you need to approve a higher amount.
